Fort Wayne IN. Newborn Photographer | Indiana In-Home Lifestyle Session

A while ago I decided to offer a few posed newborn images with my lifestyle newborn sessions. I love to give my clients the option to have those too. While the session mainly remains lifestyle-focused, if a client requests we can do one posed setup as well. These sessions use mainly natural light but if we do posed images, I bring a studio light with me. It seems so dramatic to do but I want my clients to have the very best images I can give them. And if that means setting up a studio light for a few pictures - I’m going to do it! Sometimes the natural light in a client’s home is great and it isn’t necessary but every home is different!

That said, posed images aren’t for everyone so I keep it optional. And in the time of COVID-19, I think minimizing contact is a great option for newborn photography. Lifestyle sessions allow me to be more hands-off and not in the baby’s face as much. For parents who are concerned about contact with strangers, this is probably the best bet and something to consider when choosing a photographer.

Here is one of my favorite newborn sessions with Baby Evelyn. Her nursery is absolutely stunning and her momma put so much time and effort into every single detail in this room. She also did an amazing job picking outfits that coordinated with the nursery and it just helped to create beautiful tones in the images.
